Defense confirms Web hack, pulls site

The PharmacoEconomic Center website has been pulled offline while security flaws are reviewed.

The Defense Department has taken down one of its pharmacy Web sites, after a hack attack. You might recall our story about a hacker selling access to Web sites around the world — including some from DOD. Now NextGov is reporting the Pentagon has CONFIRMED an attack against the PharmacoEconomic Center Web site. The site is offline, while Army teams look for security flaws. A defense spokesperson says the site does not house personal information.
