Companies of all sizes find they need protection from cyber attacks.

Small firms are learning that size doesn’t matter to hackers. The Federal Communications Commission sponsored a cybersecurity conference in Los Angeles. The LA Times reports that FCC officials cited a 2010 survey of small- to medium-sized companies. About 73-percent of those businesses reported being targets of cyber attacks. The mistake most small businesses make is believing that they’re too small to be considered worth attacking, but, experts say that taking precautions against cyber thieves not only keeps your information safe, but might put your company at a competitive advantage.
