The path to implementing the Next Generation Air Transportation System hit some turbulence. Seventeen of 25 industry stakeholders told the Government Accountability Office they are concerned about global interoperability, and those efforts could be subject to further delays because modernization efforts around the world have been hampered due to constrained resources.
