Federal employees in the Washington, D.C. region took to Twitter to vent their frustration with the Office of Personnel Management’s decision to open federal offices on time Monday, even as snow blanketed the area.

It’s the second time this month, OPM’s weather policy has been called into question.

Earlier this month, dire weather forecasts predicted D.C. would be crippled by several inches of snow leading OPM to preemptively close offices March 6. But the severe conditions meteorologists predicted never materialized, turning out to be mostly rain.

Federal News Radio has requested comment from OPM on Monday’s decision.

Below, view some of the comments from D.C. area workers collected from Twitter Monday morning. You can join the conversation too by using #OPM or by leaving us a comment.

  1. Maybe if #opm had been less liberal w/status b4, it wouldn’t refuse to delay for actual snow now. This is why we can’t have nice things.
  2. I know the website says its NOT a Snow Day (1.usa.gov/YsjKiw) but I foresee a lot of folks not coming in today…
  3. #OPM open status for the first real snow day in dc. This is why we can’t have nice things.
  4. breaharrison_

OPM are idiots, overcompensating for previous bad weather false alarm with full “open” status in D.C. today…should be unsched leave/telwk.
  5. *refresh OPM website* …still Open status
