Tracking everything the government owns – all those computers, furniture and weapons – is no easy feat. But the same technology that’s in that high-tech HSPD-12 ID card you use to get into government buildings and networks can actually help agencies track things in real-time. The technology is called radio-frequency ID (RFID), and one of the companies that helps the government track its assets is Clear Orbit. Jason Howton is director of U.S. Products and Services there.
