Federal News Radio continues to keep you up-to-date on the progress of Smart Grid Implementation. The Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project is the largest of 16 regional projects that have been funded by the Department of Energy. It covers five states and partners with eleven different utility companies. Ron Melton, Director of the project, explains how the project is financed and how the partnership with the federal government is working.
