Info Security reports that the U.K. ban on Apple\'s iPhone and iPad is due to the company\'s refusal to allow British intelligence review the source code.
Members of the British government have been banned from using iPhones and iPads on the job, Info Security reports.
The U.K. said the ban will continue until Apple allows its source code to be analyzed by computer experts at British intelligence services.
But Apple has refused to hand over its source code. Now Apple cannot secure a CESG certification, the clearance required for such communications devices to be permitted for use by civil servants and government ministers in the United Kingdom.
Apple’s rival Blackberry has had that certification since 2008.
