The collective eyebrows at the National Weather Service shot up when President Trump’s 2019 budget request came out. The proposal set out to cut the agency’s budget by 8 percent — $75 million — and eliminate nearly 250 forecasting positions. Not surprisingly, that’s not going down too well with the National Weather Service Employees Organization. Dan Sobien, NWSEO president, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin to provide some feedback.
