DOD developing next-gen nuclear bombers

The DOD wants to develop a new generation of long-range nuclear bombers. The Department would like a new fleet of nuclear-capable bombers within the next 10 years. The Los Angeles Times reports the Pentagon has been holding discreet talks with major military contractors on plans of making this a reality.

Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing are the defense contractors who are expected to battle for the $55 billion bomber order.
