The hacker group Anonymous claims it took down a dozen Egyptian government websites this week. They say the hack attack is in retaliation for the government’s treatment of protestors.
Infosecurity online reports Anonymous took down the sites using a denial of service attack. Among the casualties was the president’s office site and the bureau for tourism page. Protestors have been demonstrating in Egypt demanding the military government move faster on democratic reforms.
