FBI targets Anonymous

The FBI has identified and charged several key members of the hacker collective Anonymous and at least one member of the loose-knit group has become an FBI informant.

Those developments have led some to declare the group all but finished. But in the ever-shifting world of cybersecurity, it might be too soon to write off Anonymous just yet.

Alan Paller, the director of research at the SANS Institute, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss the recent cybersecurity developments.

Members of Anonymous have claimed responsibility for hacks against private companies, such as the geopolitical analysis company, Stratfor, and the Justice Department.
