Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, after meeting with Iraq’s leaders in Baghdad, has indicated he was encouraged by their progress and vision for the future. Hagel met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, President Fuad Masum and Defense Minister Khalid al-Ubaidi before leaving Iraq. Hagel said the Prime Minister is taking important steps to make Iraq’s government inclusive and effective.
