The ongoing communication breakdown between agencies and contractors is the biggest obstacle to better acquisition, several experts said. A year after the Office of Federal Procurement Policy made strengthening the government’s relationship with industry a central part of its strategy to improve the federal acquisition process, few are seeing any real change. In his weekly feature, Inside the Reporter’s Notebook, Federal News Radio’s executive editor Jason Miller finds out from industry what has improved and what hasn’t over the last 12 months.
