Former Boeing procurement officer, two subcontractors sentenced for kickbacks

Three individuals parties were implicated in a bribery/kickback scheme involving Boeing military aircraft parts.

This Week’s Crime…

THE ACCUSED:

Deon Anderson, former Boeing procurement officer. William P. Boozer, owner and operator of Globe Dynamics International, Inc. Robert Diaz Jr., owner and operator of Inland Empire and Associates. Diaz’s company consulted with J.L. Manufacturing on numerous Boeing sub-contracts.

THE CRIME:

All three parties are implicated in a bribery/kickback scheme involving Boeing military aircraft parts. Anderson is also charged with structuring money transactions to conceal his receipts of cash bribes.

The scheme took place between November 2009 and April 2013. According to court documents, Boozer asked Anderson to provide him with private competitor bid information and historical price information related to Boeing military aircraft part purchase order requests for quotes. In turn, Anderson gave the information to Boozer, so he could use it on behalf of Globe Dynamics to submit and prepare bids. Globe Dynamics was awarded seven purchase orders that totaled more than $1,500,000.

Anderson ran the same scheme with J.L Manufacturing and Diaz. J.L. Manufacturing was awarded seven purchase orders that totaled approximately $2,052,746. For Anderson’s participation, he received cash bribes on more than one occasion from all parties.

THE PUNISHMENT:

Anderson is sentenced to 20 months in prison while Boozer received 18 months, and Diaz received 15 months. Boozer is required to pay a $10,000 fine and Diaz will pay a fine of $2,000.
