A new agency may be coming, to oversee consumer finance. With that comes new jobs and new powers. What will this agency do? Who will they report to? These were some of the questions the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee discussed at a hearing about the possible creation of the new agency. One of the witnesses at the event was Michael Barr, the Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the Department of the Treasury.
