DoD rolls out new special ops vehicles

The Pentagon awarded $44 million contract to North Carolina Based Ultra Armoring.

The Defense Department is rolling out a new breed of special operations vehicles. But this time the Pentagon is looking to blend in.

Defense Industry Daily says these vehicles wouldn’t look out of place in your neighborhood.

The Pentagon awarded $44 million contract to North Carolina Based Ultra Armoring.

The first vehicles are expected to roll out in August of 2012.

Similar vehicles can be found patrolling the streets of Brazil, South Africa and the Middle East.
