The Pentagon’s budget will get smaller over the next decade, but the demand for training and preparation is only increasing.
That could mean more attention on modeling and simulation in the coming years.
Retired Navy Adm. Fred Lewis, the president of the National Training and Simulation Association, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss the latest developments in the modeling and simulation world.
Next week, the National Defense Industrial Association will host an inaugural event for the National Modeling and Simulation Coalition, which aims to bring together defense industry executives and agency decision-makers “to establish and further a national agenda for modeling and simulation and to drive its growth and use into broad areas to support our national economy, welfare and security,” according to NDIA.
