Cloud computing could be leading to major savings for federal agencies, according to a new report.

MeriTalk Cloud Computing Exchange has calculated that departments implementing cloud strategies now are saving about $5.5 billion, per their report, “Cloudy with a Chance of Savings.”

The Cloud Computing Exchange Calculator, which uses budget data provided by the agencies, estimates the migrating to the cloud could save agencies $12 billion annually.
