Danette CampbellTelework Senior Adviser, Patent and Trademark Office

Yesterday the government offered unscheduled leave and encouraged people to telework after the storm knocked out power around the D.C. area.

You can also telework today if you’re already set up to do it. But if you’re not, Danette Campbell, the senior telework senior adviser at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, discusses a new government checklist to help you make that transition.

Big weather emergencies, such as the fierce storms that wracked the area over the weekend, act as a use- case for employees who may be skeptical about teleworking. Campbell discusses some lessons learned that people can take away from this storm and apply to their future telework plans.
