The advertising campaign talks about “Army Strong.” Lt. Gen. Sorenson says much of that strength is now dependent on the use technology and the Army’s IT infrastructure. He says in many cases, the soldier of today of today has access to more information on the battlefield than command posts of the past. Additionally, Sorenson says there is a constant push to get new technology into the hands of soldiers who are pushing that technology to the limit and, in the process, changing the way the Army operates. Sorenson also talks about the future of the Future Combat System, the move to regional processing centers and preparing for the cyber battlefield.
