Countdown to shutdown:

DHS holds first Diversity Forum

WFED\'s Max Cacas reports

One of the challenges of managing effective and productive federal workers today is maintaining a diverse workforce.

Earlier today, the Department of Homeland Security convened its first Diversity Forum for women who work in homeland security.

The forum was held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

During one of the workshop sessions, Federal News Radio’s Max Cacas spoke to Vicki Brooks, deputy Chief Human Capital Officer for DHS, and an organizer of the event.

She explains what they hope to accomplish with the forum.
