The Government Accountability Office today announced that it has reached a tentative approval on its first master collective bargaining agreement with the GAO Employees Organization, the union representing approximately 2,000 GAO analysts.

The agreement is the result of ten months of talks with the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 1921, and goes into effect once the proposal has been ratified by union members, and legally reviewed by the GAO. A ratification vote is expected by early next year.
