Post-election exodus: Up to 1,800 Dem staffers laid off

Politico estimates as many as 1,800 Democratic staffers will lose their jobs after the Republican victories in the midterms.

Politico estimates that as many as 1,800 Democratic congressional staffers will be laid off.

At least 60 Democratic seats were lost in the elections.

Staffers received a pamphlet on dealing with the stages of grief.

One staffer told Politico, “It was like it was about death.”
