Senate committee approves Rung for OFPP administrator
President Barack Obama's nominee Anne Rung takes another step forward in becoming administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy.
Anne Rung, President Barack Obama’s nominee to be the next administrator at the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, took another step torward that goal Wednesday.
The Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee approved Rung for the position during a voice vote Wednesday. Rung’s nomination hearing was held the week before.
The full Senate must confirm Rung before she can assume her position at OFPP. No word yet on when that might happen.
If confirmed, Rung will replace Joe Jordan, who left his role as OFPP administrator in December to join private sector firm FedBid.
Rung joined the Office of Management and Budget as a senior adviser in May. Previously, she was the associate administrator of the General Services Administration’s Office of Governmentwide Policy.
