VA ‘Fast Track’ system processes claims online

VA Chief Technology Officer Michael Cardarelli describes the online portal for processing claims.

The VA’s Veterans Benefits Administration is using a web-based system to accept and process new claims for Vietnam-era disabilities connected to Agent Orange.

The agency said the hope is that the online portal will serve as a model for dozens of other categories of disability claims.

VA Chief Technology Officer Michael Cardarelli said the system, called “Fast Track” lets vets submit their initial claims online.
