The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce recently inducted Donna S. Morea into its Hall of Fame. The presentation was made as part of the 14th Annual Greater Washington GovCon Awards.
In December 2011, Morea retired from a successful 31-year career at American Management Systems (AMS) and CGI Group, which acquired AMS in 2004. As president of CGI Technologies and Solutions, she led CGI’s multi-billion dollar IT and business process services in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific. Her clients included many of the world’s largest and most complex organizations in federal and state and local government; health care; and financial services. Her organization included more than 15,000 professionals, representing over $2.5 billion in annual revenue.
Morea formed the Adesso Group in 2012, a private consulting and advisory firm helping businesses of all sizes develop profitable growth strategies and improve operational performance. She is an independent director of SAIC and an independent director of SunTrust Banks, Inc. She also serves on the boards of Accreon, Inc. a health care IT services company.
Deeply committed to giving back to the community, Morea also currently serves as the chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University, her alma mater; a director of Share our Strength, a national organization fighting childhood hunger in the U.S; and a trustee of the Inova Health System.
