Analysis: New cybersecurity bill promises big changes

  • The effort to make web’s address system more secure is taking a major step forward. A security layer will be added to the web’s address system in July. The Domain Name System Security Extentions will help protect users from phishing and spam. It should close the loophole that allows hackers to intercept DNS data and redirect users to fake websites.
