Google CEO: Cyber pasts may lead to name changes

Cybersecurity Update – Tune in weekdays at 30 minutes past the hour for the latest cybersecurity news on the Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris (6-10 a.m.) and the DorobekINSIDER with Chris Dorobek (3-7 p.m.). says that young people’s lives are so well documented on the internet, and often in such an unflattering way, they’ll have to change their names sometime after they reach adulthood. Eric Schmidt also suggests that young people should be entitled to change their identity to escape their past, and predicts they will one day be able to change their name to distance themselves from embarrassing pictures and material that could be stored on various social media sites.
