The Department of Homeland Security announced last year it wants to hire 1,000 cybersecurity workers in three years across the department. Phil Reitinger,the under secretary of the National Programs and Protections Directorate in the Homeland Security Department, jokingly said he is stealing to build his office’s cybersecurity workforce.
