The Department of Homeland Security is one of the biggest spenders when it comes to procurement in the federal government and there are a lot of challenges facing their acquisition workforce. While DHS has made some strides in retaining and recruiting skilled workers, more needs to be done. John Hutton is Director of Acquisition and Sourcing Management Issues at the Government Accountability Office and joins us to talk about what advice the GAO has for DHS when it comes to making sure its acquisition workforce has what it needs.
