It seems more and more newspapers are closing shop each day. Just recently, the Washington Post cut 100 positions and several major papers have filed for bankruptcy. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) is proposing legislation that would let newspapers operate as non-profits in hopes of saving the industry. But how would this work? And what affect would this have on trade publications that cover government? Senator Cardin joins us with the answers.
