We all make mistakes, but some are more costly than others. Ed Zurndorfer, registered employee benefit consultant, tells us about the 10 biggest errors federal employees make during their careers. Today we’ll be taking a closer look at three of these errors, including some that may mean you can’t retire when you want to! Here are the three errors discussed in this interview:

  1. Failure to thoroughly review personnel records.
  2. Failure to make timely request estimates of unpaid deposits or redeposits.
  3. Failure to fill out and, if necessary, update beneficiary designations.
