Boeing gets $11.9 billion Air Force contract

The Boeing Company has received an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force for B-52 Stratofortress weapon system modernization.

The Air Force has awarded a $12 billion dollar contract to Boeing for upgrades to its B-52 long range bombers. The contract will span eight-years. DoD says it provides for acquisition and sustainment activities. Boeing says it has worked on the B-52 bombers for 55 years.
