Cyber Security professionals know that one problem with keeping systems secure is software. Often, it is the software, particularly for applications, that has security holes. To fix that, ISC-squared has established an Application Security Advisory Board. Hart Rossman, who is a member of the board, explains that the board itself isn’t designed to put its stamp of approval on software: right now they’re just focusing on educating the software developers.
