Cyber Command re-opens blocked websites

Cyber Command gave no reason for the turnabout in policy.

U.S. Cyber Command issued a one sentence statement late Friday saying it had reopened access to 13 commercial websites blocked since March 11th to conserve bandwidth for relief operations in Japan, NextGov reports.

The command had blocked access to a number of sites that ate up large amounts of bandwidth including Youtube, ESPN.com and Amazon.com.
