Cyber defense giant Symantec has been asked to join a White House advisory council. Symantec CEO Enrique Salem is one of 10 public and private industry leaders nominated to be part of President Obama’s Management Advisory Board. The Board was created in April 2010 to help the President make decisions on issues related to Federal Government management and operation, including technology applications. InfoSecurity.com reports other tech sector nominees include the CEO of Adobe Systems.
