Some of the White House’s cyber proposals are getting a cool reception on the Hill. The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition, and the Internet questioned administration officials. The National Journal reports some on the panel worried the plan gives government too much control in cybersecurity issues. One proposal in question would grant legal immunity to companies that cooperate with federal cyber investigations. Other lawmakers worried the definition of “critical infrastructure” was too broad. It was the second of at least four congressional hearings on cybersecurity this week.
