FBI boosting cybersecurity efforts

The FBI plans to boost its cyber defense efforts over the next two years. FBI Director Robert Mueller tells the Senate Judiciary Committee the Bureau will put an increased emphasis on cyber attacks of all kinds in the wake of recent attacks on Google’s email system. That hack attack attempted to steal the passwords of hundreds of Google email account users, including senior U.S. government officials, Chinese activists, and journalists. Mueller said the FBI needs to make sure its personnel have the necessary equipment, skills and capabilities to confront cyber threats directly.
