The government doesn’t like bait-and-switch.
Many contracting officers expect the subcontractors included on a prime contractor’s bid to be the ones who do the work after a contract is awarded. But that’s not always how it works in practice.
A new rule from the Small Business Administration could change all that. It would require primes to notify agency contracting officers when there’s a change in subs.
Kenneth Dodds, an SBA attorney, joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris to discuss how the new rules would change how contractors and agencies do business.
