President Barack Obama has named October national Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

In a declaration, the president called on the American people to observe the month with activities, events and trainings that will enhance national security.

Obama also noted the government’s continued efforts to secure networks and information, respond to cyber incidents and protect critical information infrastructure.
