Lockheed Martin snares Missile Defense follow-on contract

Missile Defense Agency awards $980 million contract to Lockheed Martin.

The Missile Defense Agency has handed Lockheed Martin a $980 million follow-on contract. Lockheed will develop, build and field new capabilities to the MDA’s command and control, battle management and communications element. The contract is sole source, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity. It runs through 2016. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va.
