A computer virus has infected more than 600,000 Apple computers, alarming IT security professionals. E-Week called it a “fast-moving variant of the Flashback Trojan malware that uses Javascript code.”
Many Apple users have not installed anti-virus software, since the company so rarely experiences attacks of this kind. They say Mac OS X operating system users should run an update to get the latest patches. But they also warn that if your computer is more than four years old, then anti-virus software could slow it down.
