DoD rejects recommendation to reduce certain housing allowances

The Defense Department decides to reject a recent audit's recommendation to reduce the housing allowance benefits for dual military couples.

Cut the housing allowance for military couples? It may sound outlandish. But that’s what recent audit by the Army recommends the Defense Department do — cut some basic housing allowance benefits for dual military couples. In response, DoD gave the recommendation a pass.
