About 82 percent of federal employees say they’re held accountable for achieving results, a 1 percent bump over last year’s results on this question. But when it comes to their co-workers, survey participants felt much differently. Only 29 percent of federal employees said steps are taken to deal with a poor performer in their agency. Roughly 34 percent of respondents said their agencies recognize differences in employee performance in a meaningful way. And 41 percent said awards in their work unit depend on how well employees perform their jobs. This has consistently been a pain point for agencies on this survey over the past six years, but scores increased 1 percent across the board on most questions.
