A new bill would flatline pay for Defense civilian employees who receive poor performance ratings
DOD civilian slouchers would get no raises or locality pay under a new bill. Rep. Allen West (Fla.-R) introduced legislation to flatline Defense civilian employees who receive unsatisfactory performance ratings. GovExec reports, the estimated savings could reach $80 million. The Partnership for Public Service says a no-pay-hike policy for poor performers should be extended to the entire government.
