Information sharing and intelligence gathering was key to tracking down Osama bin Laden.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for Mike McConnell, the former Director of National Intelligence, who was planning a speech on secure collaboration at this week’s Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems Worldwide Conference in Detroit.

McConnell spoke to Federal News Radio about the advancements in data collection since 9/11 and the lessons learned about collaboration over the past 10 years.

He is currently the executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton.
