Congress increases scrutiny of tanker contract

More congressional oversight is coming for one defense contractor in particular. Learn more in today\'s DoD report.

The House is looking for more oversight on the Air Force’s tanker contract. The House Appropriations Committee ruled that any cost overruns of $5 million or more must be reported within 30 days.

Bloomberg reports, the new oversight underscores Congress’ continued scrutiny of the tanker contract. Boeing beat EADS for the $35 billion contract last year.
