Former White House Cyber Coordinator Howard Schmidt, who retired in May, has landed back in the private sector.

Schmidt will join Qualys, a company specializing in information security and compliance cloud solutions, according to a company release.

Schmidt will serve on the board of directors of the company and work to promote it in the public and private sectors.

“I look forward to working with the Qualys team on the new security challenges that businesses and government agencies are facing today so we can arm them with the best solutions to enhance their security and compliance posture,” Schmidt said in a statement.
