“So far, officials the Department of Homeland Security say things are progressing well with their first ever Quadrennial Homeland Security Review, an attempt to perform a top-to-bottom look at all of the agencies many functions.
“And they have high hopes for the conclusion of the process.
“Since this past summer, they’ve been involved in the groundbreaking use of a blog-like onlne forum of registered users who can submit ideas, and then comment on the ideas of others regarding the operation of DHS agencies.
“As the Congressionally-mandated review enters its third and final round, Alan Cohn, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy (Strategic Plans) at DHS, told a bloggers’ roundtable and briefing this morning that the recently completed second round of comments on the QHSR has been a big success, beyond anyone’s expectations.”
