Privacy concerns are driving over 30,000 users off Facebook, and many more users are asking questions about the fate of their personal information. Meanwhile, employers are saying more and more that they’re following the online social profiles of their current – and prospective – employees. Identity theft isn’t the only concern you should have about your personal information being online. And you are doing “more with less” budget-wise, so the appeal of collaborative media is very high.
But you have some special responsibilities and considerations as a Federal employee, and if you manage social networkers, you may need to raise your own awareness of what your people are doing online.
